Some information about who we are and what we do

Load tipper rexport

A family owned specialist HGV truck recycling operation situated close to Bristol, Avonmouth in the West Country. We started breaking continental trucks in the mid 1970's when they were first starting to appear on our roads.

We operate from our main Yard at Compton Greenfield close to the M5 Motorway, and have other storage yards for salvage vehicles that we hold pending clearance and for buffer stock holding.

Our recovery vehicle fleet consists of extending semi low loader trailers with power ramps and winches also fitted outriggers for wide abnormal loads. Modern Scania, Volvo and Daf articulated tractor units. Scania heavy underlifts and a crane and telehandler. For off road recovery we have an Ex WD 6x6 Foden heavy recovery unit. This enables us to cover any situation.

Our depollution bays have vehicle lifts, transmission jacks and a pit together with bulk storage tanks for reclaimed fluids, with licenced trained operatives to remove the Air Con refrigerant.

On the road our recovery team has proved capable of recovering just about any vehicle, trailer or heavy plant that has been put to us, in most unbelievable situations.

If you have a late damaged HGV to sell we underwrite it awaiting clearance, once cleared from insurance and / or Finance we pay immediately and collect using our own in-house recovery team. Once in our works the vehicle is then appraised by our recycling engineers and the decision is made whether to dismantle for parts, to repair it depending on the insurance categorisation or offer for sale as is.

All our staff are fully trained for the specialist roles they carry out, risk assessment and Method Statement are provided as required.
